Hydrogenation is a three-phase reaction involving liquid oil, solid catalyst, and hydrogen gas. Efficient hydrogen dispersion and gas–liquid mass transfer are therefore critical to achieving consistent reaction performance. VDF’s advanced impeller and mixing technology provides vigorous gas–liquid–solid mixing, enhanced hydrogen dispersion, and large gas–liquid interfacial area, resulting in improved mass transfer and shorter batch cycles.

The stirred hydrogenator is designed for reliable and efficient batch hydrogenation processes, offering excellent heat transfer, repeatable batch performance, reduced side reactions, and minimal maintenance requirements. Its compact design and advanced shaft sealing technology ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation.
